Total Time 55 minutes

Cook Time 30 minutes

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

Nonstick cooking spray
1 pound large shrimp (16/20 count), peeled and deveined, tails on
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped pickled jalapenos
2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 scallion, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • For the fried shrimp: Spray the basket of a 3.5-quart air fryer with cooking spray and set aside. Pat the shrimp dry between a couple paper towels, then season with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper.
  • Whisk the flour with 3/4 teaspoon salt and few grinds of pepper in a shallow bowl or baking dish. Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt in another shallow bowl. Add the panko to a third shallow bowl. Dip a shrimp in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess, then dip in the beaten eggs. Dredge in the panko, turning until evenly coated. Transfer to a large plate or a rimmed baking sheet and repeat with the remaining shrimp.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 385 degrees F. Working in batches, place some of the shrimp in a single layer in the fryer basket, then spray lightly with more cooking spray. Cook until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through, about 10 minutes.
  • For the spicy remoulade sauce: Meanwhile, stir together the mayonnaise, pickled jalapenos, mustard, ketchup, hot sauce and scallion in a small bowl until smooth. Serve with the fried shrimp for dipping.

BEST PAN-FRIED STEAK RECIPE - HOW TO PAN FRY A RIBEYE STEAK

Serve this pan-fried ribeye steak next to a heaping pile of roasted garlic mashed potatoes and a salad—and your sweetie (or family) will love you for it.

Total Time 15 minutes

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 5 minutes

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tbsp.

Lawry's seasoning salt

3 tbsp.

lemon and pepper seasoning

1 tsp.

kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2

pieces (about 8 ounces each) ribeye steak

1 tbsp.

olive oil

1 tbsp.

butter

Steps:

  • Combine the seasoning salt, lemon and pepper seasoning and kosher salt together in a small bowl. Add lots of black pepper, to taste, and mix to create a rub for your steaks. Sprinkle some of the rub on one side of the steaks and rub it all over, then flip and rub the remaining seasoning all over the steaks.   Bring a skillet to medium heat. Once hot, add the olive oil and butter. Cook until the oil is hot and the butter is beginning to brown. With tongs, set the steaks right into the sizzling butter/oil mixture. Cook for about 2 minutes on the first side, then flip and turn the heat down to a medium-low to finish off the cooking. Cooking it for about 2 ½ minutes on the second side will result in a medium-rare piece of meat. Alter your cooking time a little to achieve a steak that is a little less pink in the center.  Let the steaks rest for a couple minutes before digging in or slice the steaks for a nice presentation and drizzle with the leftover pan sauce from the bottom of the skillet. Serve with mashed potatoes and a side salad.

  • Cook pasta in a pot according to package directions, being sure not to overcook it. Drain and rinse in cold water to cool. Toss in 1 tablespoon olive oil and set aside. Place chicken in a large pot or dutch oven and cover in chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then simmer chicken, covered, for 30 minutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for 30 minutes. Remove chicken from pot and shred meat. Discard bones and set meat aside. Dice canned tomatoes and return them to their juice. Set aside. Heat a small skillet over medium high heat. Add olive oil and oregano and turn off heat, stirring over the next minute to keep oregano from burning. Set this aside. Either pour off chicken broth into a separate container or use a new pot to saute onion, green pepper, celery, and jalapenos in 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat until tender and golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add chicken broth, shredded chicken, and tomatoes with their juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add cooked pasta, cream, and all the oregano and olive oil from the small skillet. Stir to combine. Turn off heat. Serve with lots of Parmesan sprinkled on the top--the more the better! Crusty Italian bread is good, too.

  • Note: While working with the wonton wrappers, keep the opened package covered in plastic wrap and a towel as you're working on each wonton. They dry out quickly! In the bowl of a mixer (or you can do it by hand,) mix together the cream cheese, green onions, and Sriracha/hot sauce until totally combined (scrape the mixer bowl if necessary.)In a separate bowl, mix together the egg and water. One at a time, assemble the wontons: place approximately 1/2 teaspoon mixture on on corner of a wonton wrapper. Use your finger to "paint' the egg wash all around the edges of the wrapper. Roll the wrapper on a diagonal, starting with the cream cheese corner and stopping when half the wrapper is rolled and the cream cheese mixture is inside. Bring up the two ends and use the egg wash to stick them together. Allow the remaining pointed end to naturally tuck backward. (The wontons should resemble tortellini.)As you work, place the assembled wontons under plastic wrap or a light towel to keep them from drying.Heat 2-3 inches of oil in a large saucepan or medium skillet to just under 350 degrees (you don't want the oil too hot or it will burn the wontons! Experiment with a spare sheet of wonton wrappers to check.About 4 to 5 at a time, fry the wontons for about 45 seconds to 1 minute, flipping carefully midway through to make sure they brown evenly. Remove it when you still think it could stand to slightly, brown a teeny bit more (because it will slightly brown in the seconds after you remove it from the pan!)Drain the wontons on a paper towel and serve them with teriyaki sauce, hoisin sauce, etc. If you'd like to make your own sauce, Mix together the sauce ingredients above. Taste and amounts as needed.**It's good to wait 5-10 minutes before serving the wontons, as the cream cheese filling can be quite hot.
