Grands!™ Turkey and Dumplings Recipe - Pillsbury.c… image

There's nothing we don't love about this easy turkey and dumplings recipe made with Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Biscuits. Throw your leftover Thanksgiving turkey into the skillet along with mixed vegetables and a creamy broth and in no time, you'll have a satisfying meal that comes together with ease.

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 carton (32 oz) Progresso™ chicken broth (4 cups)
4 oz (from 8-oz package) cream cheese, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cubed cooked turkey
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (8 Count) or 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Southern Recipe Biscuits (8 Count)
4 teaspoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In 4- or 5-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Add broth, cream cheese, salt and pepper; cook until cream cheese has melted and broth is boiling, stirring occasionally. Increase heat to medium-high; stir in turkey and mixed vegetables. Heat to a simmer; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until thoroughly heated.
  • Separate dough into 8 biscuits; sprinkle with flour until biscuits are evenly coated. Roll or pat each biscuit to 1/8 inch thick; cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips, tossing with flour as you go. Drop strips, one at a time, into hot turkey mixture.
  • Cover; simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until biscuits are no longer doughy.

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (8 Count)
1 small chicken breast, cooked, shredded
1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
8 slices (1/2 oz each) mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing and seasoning mix

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Separate dough from 1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits into 8 biscuits. Cut a slit in side of each biscuit to form a deep pocket.
  • Stuff each biscuit pocket with 2 tablespoons shredded cooked chicken breast, 1 tablespoon chopped cooked bacon and 1 slice (1/2 oz) mozzarella cheese. Press dough back over filling, sealing edge of each biscuit; place on ungreased large cookie sheet.
  • Brush 1/4 cup melted butter over all stuffed biscuits. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing and seasoning mix over tops of stuffed biscuits.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.

  • Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan.  Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour entire mixture over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
