Great as a condiment for a burger, in a salad, on fish

2 each onion (red, sliced thin into rounds)
4 each cloves
1 each cinnamon stick
1¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ cup balsamic vinegar
2 each bay leaves

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except for the onion into, bring to a boil sauce pot, turn off heat
  • Add the onions, place in a bowl or ziploc bag and refirgerate
  • Serve as a condiment on your favorite grilled protein or meat substitute or add to a salad

1 red onion, finely chopped
½ cup red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1?½ tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons white sugar

Steps:

  • Bring the onion, red wine vinegar, white vinegar, salt, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and allow mixture to steep until the onion is tender, about 20 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
