PICKLED ORANGE AND ONION IN A VINEGAR BASE, A GREAT ...

This is a simple and delicious for pickling oranges and onions in apple cider vinegar.

Provided by Amanda Rose

Prep Time 10 minutes

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 pieces oranges, peeled and slices
1/2 piece red onion, peeled and thin-sliced
1 cup vinegar (apple cider or white wine)

Steps:

  • Peel and slice the oranges
  • Peel and slice the red onion.
  • Layer red onion and orange pieces in a mason jar
  • Boil a small rock to weight down the oranges and onions. Place rock on top.
  • Cover in vinegar.
  • Allow to sit for at least two weeks and up to several months, swishing it daily (or as you can remember)>
