This one-dish pasta meal is seasoned to perfection.

8 ounces penne pasta
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups fresh or frozen small broccoli florets
1 cup fat free half-and-half
4 ounces Neufchátel cheese (1/3 less fat than cream cheese), cubed
2 teaspoons McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Mediterranean Herb Seasoning
½ teaspoon Sea Salt from McCormick® Sea Salt Grinder
Grated Parmesan or Asiago cheese (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, adding shrimp and broccoli during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain well.
  • Meanwhile, bring half-and-half to simmer in small saucepan on medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese, Seasoning and sea salt; whisk until cheese is melted and sauce is well blended.
  • Place pasta, shrimp and broccoli in serving bowl. Add sauce; toss gently to coat well. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.

Looking for a simple, but also new and interesting pasta recipe? Well, then you’re in the right place. We used penne, alongside butter fried shrimp, with a thick and savory cream sauce. In just under half an hour, dinner is ready, and it is delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons of butter
1 garlic clove, chopped
12 shrimp
salt
parsley
3 tablespoons of flour
½ cup milk
pepper
10 ounces of cooked pasta

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Add garlic and throw the shrimp into the skillet. Season it with salt and top it with parsley.
  • Cook them for about 3 minutes.
  • Separately, heat another skillet, and melt remaining butter.
  • Thicken with flour, stir continuously, and add milk.
  • Keep it on heat and keep stirring until you obtain a smooth, creamy sauce.
  • Season it with salt and pepper and add the cooked penne.
  • Finally add the previously cooked shrimp, top it with parsley, and keep it on heat for about 30 seconds or so.
  • Serve it warm!
