A dear friend gave me this recipe about 15 years ago. My recipe is the same except I use 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. I use margarine instead of butter. All the rest is the same. I use creamy peanut butter and Reese's mini peanut butter cups.
