PEANUT BUTTER CORNFLAKE BARS RECIPE: HOW TO MAKE IT
Peanut Butter Cornflake Bars were one of my favorite treats when I was a little girl. They are very versatile. A friend likes to spread a cup of melted chocolate chips over the top. Bu sure to let the chocolate set before cutting into these simply delicious bars. —Laura Campbell, Lisbon, Maine

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, combine peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in cereal. Spread into a greased 13x9-in. pan; press lightly. Let stand until set, about 1 hour.

Steps:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add peanut butter, sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stirring constantly, let mixture come to a boil and let boil until mixture is smooth and butter and sugar are melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cornflakes. Working quickly, use 2 spoons to drop mounds onto parchment or wax paper. Press cookies together with the spoons to help pack the cookies together. Let cool for 20 minutes.
