This is a family favorite recipe that I grew up with that was passed down by my Grandmother. This recipe is very unique & is my absolute favorite. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

SPAGHETTI SAUCE WITH CHICKEN WINGS
1 package(s) frozen chicken wings
1-2 can(s) contadina crushed tomatoes
1 1/2 cup(s) water
4-6 clove(s) fresh garlic
1 small onion
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1/4 -1/2 cup(s) fresh basil (or dried basil)
4 tablespoon(s) sugar
1/4 cup(s) fresh parsley
1/8 cup(s) parmesan cheese
2 pinch(es) salt and pepper
1 pound(s) spaghetti
4 can(s) contadina tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Saute onion with butter (in stock pot) until tender. Chop garlic cloves and marinate in Olive oil then set aside for 15 mins.
  • Next add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water to pot. Stir briefly. Add salt/pepper, sugar, fresh basil and parsley, fresh garlic, parmesan cheese to sauce then mix well. You can add more olive oil/butter to your liking. (Optional)
  • Finally add frozen chicken wings carefully to the sauce. Simmer together for 2-3 hours. Taste test sauce after 1-2 hours to add more seasonings to your liking. If it's too bitter add more sugar. (It also helps to cut down on the acidity). If you don’t like the Sauce so thin, you can add 1 small can of tomato paste, but the original recipe doesn’t call for it. Finally serve sauce over spaghetti (Not rinsed) noodles, then serve with Chicken Wings. FYI - It is very messy, but it's well worth it!! Enjoy =)

I came up with this by piecing together a bunch of different recipes and then sifting down the ingredients to make it tasty and easy. If you want to get "fancy" you can add some chicken and sauteed red pepper and onion. One of my hubby's favorites!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 lb linguine
1 tablespoon buffalo wing sauce, to taste (or more, I like "Anchor Bar Buffalo Sauce" or "Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wings sauce" because they have)
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule

Steps:

  • Cook noodles al dente.
  • Drain noodles.
  • While noodles are still very hot, add butter and stir to melt and coat noodles.
  • Move noodles to one side in pan and pour in milk on other side.
  • Add boullion granules to milk and whisk with fork until they are a bit dissolved.
  • Add buffalo sauce to milk mixture and stir.
  • Mix noodles and sauce together and serve.
  • Make sure to put the bottle of buffalo sauce on the table with the meal so guests can add more if they want spicier pasta.
