Pan Fried Chicken Wings With Oyster Sauce Recipe | SideChef image

Just marinate the chicken wings for a few hours or overnight with the ingredients available in your pantry. Definitely a great recipe for busy mothers on the go.

1/2 teaspoon Light Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1 1/2 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Ginger Paste
1/2 tablespoon Cooking Wine
1 dash Ground Black Pepper
2 slice Fresh Ginger
to taste Chili Pepper
1/2 cup Water
300 gram Chicken Wing

Steps:

  • Combine Light Soy Sauce (1/2 teaspoon), Dark Soy Sauce (1/2 teaspoon), Salt (1/4 teaspoon), Granulated Sugar (3/4 teaspoon), Sesame Oil (1/2 teaspoon), Oyster Sauce (1/2 tablespoon), Ginger Paste (1/2 teaspoon), Cooking Wine (1/2 tablespoon) and Ground Black Pepper (1 dash) in a bowl. Marinate Chicken Wing (300 gram) with the seasoning for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Heat up frying pan with some oil and pan fry chicken wings on both sides till brown at medium heat. Add in the shreddedFresh Ginger (2 slice) and Chili Pepper (to taste) and continue to fry the chicken wings to almost cooked.
  • Pour in Oyster Sauce (1 tablespoon) and Water (1/2 cup), bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until sauce slightly thickened (you may add a little more water if you find the thickened sauce is too salty). Garnish with some toasted white sesame seeds.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

20 chicken wings
1/4 tsp. salt
dash ground pepper
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
2 green onions (, chopped)
1 thumb ginger ( , half sliced and half diced )
1/2 red bell pepper (, cut into pieces)
1 whole garlic (, peeled )
1/2 red onion (, chopped )
2 tbsp. cooking oil (, divided )
1 tbsp. Chinese Shaoxing wine
1/2 tbsp. light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
2 tsp. sesame oil
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Pat drain the chicken wings.
  • Cut some lines on both sides of the chicken wings. Add salt, pepper, oyster sauce, ginger and green onion. Mix well and set aside for 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients for combined sauce together.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and then fry the chicken wings for 2-3 minutes until the surface becomes slightly browned.
  • Prepare a claypot or simmering pot, add another tablespoon of cooking oil and fry garlic, ginger and green onion until aromatic. Place red onion and bell peppers in.
  • Then lay the chicken wings one by one and drizzle the sauce on top.
  • Cover the lid and simmer for 10 minutes over medium to slow fire. Serve hot.
