Baked BBQ Shrimp Recipe - An Easy Shrimp Recipe for Lent image

This easy and delicious baked BBQ shrimp recipe is perfect for lent or any occasion! It's one of our favorite easy shrimp recipes.

2 lbs 16-20 ct raw shrimp, thawed
Salt
Pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Valentina hot sauce
1-1/2 Lemons
1/2 cup Butter, sliced
Olive Oil
Dried parsley, (optional)

Steps:

  • Thaw shrimp and spread them out on a non-stick baking pan or one lined with aluminum foil. I can usually fit about 2 lbs of shrimp on each pan, so if you are making more than that you'll need to use additional pans. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper (fresh cracked blacked pepper is best). Douse with Worcestershire sauce. Drizzle with Valentina hot sauce. Try to get a little hot sauce on each shrimp. The more you use, the spicier your shrimp will be. Squeeze the juice of 1-1/2 lemons on your shrimp.  Finally, drizzle with olive oil and top with butter slices. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Shrimp will be opaque when thoroughly cooked. Garnish with parsley flakes if desired.

1 cup butter
1 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup barbeque sauce
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 ounces Jack Daniels
4 tbsp garlic powder
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp dried basil
2 tbsp chopped chives
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp Tabasco
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp rosemary
1 lemon thinly sliced
3 lbs shrimp (21-25 count heads-on)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a heavy bottomed sauté pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium high heat. Combine all remaining ingredients and blend well into butter mixture. Cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Place head-on-shrimp in a large baking pan with a 1 inch lip. Pour melted butter mixture on top of shrimp, coating evenly. Place shrimp on center rack and cook 3-5 minutes or until pink and cooked. Turn one time, baste well and cook an additional 3-5 minutes. Serve with French bread.
