Quick and easy orangeade recipe made with freshly squeezed oranges and lemon juice. It's a refreshing, classic homemade Summer beverage.

1 cup Water
1 cup Granulated sugar (Or honey)
1 packet Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
3 cups Orange juice (Fresh)
1/2 cup Lemon juice
4 cups Additional water (Or sparkling water)
6-8 Mint leaves (Fresh)
5-6 Orange slices (Round slices)

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, add water and sugar and cook over medium high heat until al the sugar dissolves completely. 
  • Add collagen peptides (flavorless protein powder) and cook it for a few more minutes until dissolves completely too.
  • Add orange juice, lemon juice, water and cook for about 1 more minute and remove from heat. 
  • In a large pitcher, add mint leaves and orange slices. 
  • Pour the orangeade and chill for 1-2 hours until it's nice and cold. Enjoy!

lemons - 2 - 3 lemons
grapefruits - 1 - 2 red
oranges - 3
sugar - 8 1/3 cups (2 kg) more or less, to taste
citric acid - 2 - 3 sachets
water - 12 1/2 cups (3 liters)

Steps:

  • Clean all the citrus very well so theres no dirt on the peels. Cut them into pieces, along with the peels, and grind them in a meat grinder or put them in the food processor.
  • Transfer them to a pot and add water. Stir and allow to sit for 24 hours. The next day, strain through a cheesecloth, add the strained juice, sugar and citric acid . Stir until the sugar has melted.
  • Dispense into bottles and store in the refrigerator. Optionally, serve diluted with a little carbonated water.
