FETTUCCINE WITH CREAM NUTMEG SAUCE RECIPE - FOOD.COM
I love this recipe! I honestly do not remember where I got it from, but it's delicious and simple to make. It's very rich so I definitely would not recommend this as a side dish. It's great all by itself with some garlic bread on the side.

The best spaghetti sauce! We had this every Wednesday when I was growing up. The secret ingredient is the nutmeg. Just a pinch. Delicious! Serve over spaghetti.

- In a dutch oven or large pot over medium high heat pour in a couple tablespoons of water and the minced garlic, saute just a minute or two , add more water to prevent sticking if needed – we don’t want to burn the garlic. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring it to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring a couple times during the simmer.

- Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes. Drain. Stir 2 cups of the cream and the lemon juice in a heavy large skillet to blend. Add the butter and cook over medium heat just until the butter melts, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Add the pasta and toss. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of cream, and Parmesan to the cream sauce in the skillet. Add the lemon zest, nutmeg, salt, and white pepper. Toss the pasta mixture over low heat until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1 minute.
