I make this traditional sweet noodle kugel recipe, along with other Jewish specialties, for an annual Hanukkah/Christmas party with our friends. -Lauren Kargen Williamsville, New York

Ingredients

1 package (1 pound) egg noodles
1/2 cup butter, melted
8 large eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups sour cream
2 cups 4% cottage cheese
TOPPING:
3/4 cup cinnamon graham cracker crumbs (about 4 whole crackers)
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Toss with butter; set aside. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, sour cream and cottage cheese until well blended. Stir in noodles. , Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Combine the cracker crumbs and butter; sprinkle over top., Bake, uncovered, at 350° until a thermometer reads 160°, 50-55 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve warm or cold.

Ingredients

Butter, for greasing the pan
16 oz. wide egg noodles
5 large eggs
1/2 c. butter, melted
16 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cottage cheese
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9" x 13” baking dish. In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta until al dente, 5 minutes. Drain.
In a large bowl mix together eggs, butter, sour cream, cottage cheese, sugar, and cinnamon then stir in noodles. Pour into prepared dish and bake until set, 1 hour. Cover with aluminum foil if the top starts to get too dark.
