Ingredients

Glass spray bottle
2 teaspoons of salt
8 ounces white vinegar
16 ounces of water
15 drops lavender essential oil

Steps:

Pour water and vinegar into the spray bottle and shake to mix.
Add the salt and lavender essential oil and swish the solution until the salt dissolves completely.
Spritz the carpet or rug liberally.
Let the homemade cleaner dry on the rug or carpet.
Vacuum to eliminate dried cleaner residue.
Repeat as needed.

Ingredients

1 tsp yeast
4 ounces brown sugar
16 ounces lemon, lime, grapefruit, or orange peels
32 ounces water
2-liter bottle
6 drops lemon or orange essential oil
Strainer
2-3 Mason jars with lids
Baking soda
4 ounces hydrogen peroxide
16-ounce spray bottle
Cleaning cloth

Steps:

Add the first four ingredients to the bottle. Seal and shake well.
Mix the concoction at least twice daily for 14 days. Each time after shaking, remove the cap and replace it to release gases.
Strain the liquid into the Mason jars and throw away the peels.
Add the essential oil and shake to combine.
Store in a dark, cool location until ready to use.
To use the cleaner, mix 4 ounces of peroxide with 1 cup of the enzymatic cleaner in the sprayer bottle.
Shake some baking soda on the urine stain and spray the cleaner on the baking soda.
Let the cleaning solution sit for about 10 minutes.
Blot with a clean damp rag until the stain is gone.
Repeat if needed.
