Want some lip-smacking neck bones and rice? If so, I have just the recipe for you. This recipe works well for pork neck bones and beef neckbones too.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 to 3 pounds pork or beef neckbones, small to medium sized with meat
2 cups rice
1 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black Pepper
1 can italian green beans
1 can white potatoes

Steps:

  • Start off by rinsing your meat under running water. Add meat to a large pot or Dutch Oven. Cover Meat with about three inches of water. Bring water to a boil. Skim the foam from the meat once foaming forms. If necessary remove meat, clean pot and add fresh water.
  • Add the cover to pot and reduce heat to simmer for about 1-1/2 hours. After simmering for 1-1/2 hours the meat should be tender. At this point add your canned green beans, white potatoes, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes, until beans and potatoes are tender.

10 lbs fresh pork neck bones (rinsed)
3 quarts water
4 beef bouillon cubes or 4 chicken bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons seasoning salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
5 -6 potatoes (peeled and quartered)

Steps:

  • put everything in a large stock pot and simmer on low until meat is tender (about 2 hrs) add potatoes for the last 45mins or until you can easily pierce with a fork. serve with hot sauce and cornbread! oh I also call em naked bones because its hard to find meat on em! lol.
