HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN MUSTARD BATH HERBAL SOAK

How to Make Your Own Mustard Bath Herbal Soak image

Mustard bath salts have been used since ancient times to stimulate skin circulation and rejuvenate tired muscles. I also find them very relaxing and helpful during those “under-the-weather” days. With a wonderful, invigorating aroma, this recipe includes many time-tested bathing favorites, like Epsom salt, sea salt, baking soda, and essential oils.

Provided by Ek Ongkar

Prep Time 15 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup Epsom salt
1/2 cup sea salt
1/3 cup organic mustard seed powder (you can also grind your own whole organic mustard seeds for optimal freshness)
1/4 cup baking soda
1 Tbsp. organic ginger root powder
1 tsp. organic cinnamon powder
15 drops organic lavender essential oil
5 drops organic eucalyptus essential oil
5 drops organic rosemary essential oil
3 drops organic ginger essential oil

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour mixture into a dry airtight bottle or jar for storage.
  • Add approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup of mix to running warm bathwater.
  • Soak for 15 to 20 minutes, or less if you have sensitive skin.
  • After bathing, shower to rinse off, and rinse out the tub.
  • Enjoy a restful sleep!
