8 oz Elbow macaroni cooked
4 cups Shredded cheddar 16 oz, shredded
2 large Eggs
1 1/2 cups Milk
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Paprika

Steps:

  • "Layer one third of macaroni in a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish; sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups cheese. Repeat layers once; top with remaining macaroni. Reserve remaining 1 cup cheese. Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients until blended; pour over macaroni. Bake covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese and paprika. Cover and let stand 10 minutes before serving. 1 package (7 ounces) elbow macaroni
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
2 cups whole milk
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Paprika, optional

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth; gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer or until thickened., Stir in cheese until melted. Drain macaroni; add to cheese sauce and stir to coat. If desired, sprinkle with paprika.
