These pecan pie bars are an adaptation of a winning Bake-Off® contest recipe. This version has 43% less sugar and contains 10% fewer calories than the full-sugar version.

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) or 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup Truvía™ Cane Sugar Blend
1/4 cup Truvía™ Nectar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs, beaten

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Unroll dough in ungreased 13x9-inch pan; press in bottom and 1/2 inch up sides to form crust. If using crescent rolls, firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Bake 8 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix Filling ingredients. Pour filling over partially baked crust; spread evenly.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

Number Of Ingredients 14

¼ cup softened butter
6 tbsp granular sugar substitute
½ egg, beaten
½ cup almond flour
¼ cup coconut flour
½ tsp baking powder
splash of vanilla
pinch of sea salt
1 cup pecan halves
2 eggs, beaten
? cup sugar free caramel syrup
6 tbsp brown sugar substitute
2 ½ tbsp butter, melted & cooled slightly
pinch of sea salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl mix together all crust ingredients until a wet sand like mixture forms.
  • Press the crust mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the baking pan. Set aside and move on to making the filling.
  • In a large bowl mix together the filling ingredients including the sugar free caramel syrup until a smooth custard texture forms.
  • Bake for 45 minutes to up to an hour until the crust is golden brown and the filling has set.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely before covering and allowing them to set for an additional few hours. Once completely set slice and serve.
  • Serve with additional chopped pecans and homemade sugar free vanilla whipped cream.
