I absolutely love lime, You need to marinate them a day ahead but boy they are worth the extra effort. This recipe calls for you to broil them but I like to cook them in my deep fryer. yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmy.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 pound(s) chicken wings,rinsed and patted dry
1 pinch(es) salt and pepper
1 1/2 large limes,juiced
1/2 cup(s) chopped fresh cilantro leaves
1/4 cup(s) vegetable oil
2 tablespoon(s) honey
1 small jalapeno pepper, trimmed,seeded,and sliced
2 teaspoon(s) tomato paste
4 clove(s) garlic,chopped
1 pinch(es) salt

Steps:

  • For Marinade, finely grate the zest and the juice from the limes. In a blender, combine zest and juice with remaining marinade ingredients; puree until smooth. Pour marinade over the chicken and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat broiler. Arrange chicken on a baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper. Broil at least 6 inches from the heat for 4 or 5 minutes per side or until chicken is crispy on the outside and cooked through. I use the deep fryer to do the chicken.

18 whole chicken wings, split
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts vegetable oil for frying

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the honey, lime juice, lime peel, garlic, salt and ground black pepper.
  • Place the flour in a plastic bag and shake the chicken wings in the flour to coat.
  • In a large skillet, fry the chicken wings in hot, 1 inch deep oil until cooked through. Place the cooked wings in the honey/lime mixture and toss to coat well. Serve immediately.

Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup. , Meanwhile, in a large shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, paprika and pepper.
