This Lebanese recipe for chicken wings (Jawaneh) is simply delicious. The wings are marinated for 1 hour in the refrigerator before grilling them under the broiler or on the barbeque.

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
lemon, juiced
3 cloves garlic, pressed, or more to taste
salt and pepper to taste
16 chicken wings
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken wings, cover with a plate or plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Remove chicken wings from the marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet
  • Broil until no longer pink at the bone and juices run clear, approximately 7 minutes, flipping chicken wings once after 4 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Sprinkle with parsley.

2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
10 garlic cloves, peeled
1-1/2 teaspoons canola oil
5 tablespoons chicken broth, divided
1/4 cup dry white wine or additional chicken broth
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a skillet, cook chicken and garlic in oil for 4-6 minutes. Add 4 tablespoons broth, wine, lemon juice, basil and oregano. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until chicken juices run clear., Transfer chicken to a serving platter and keep warm. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and remaining broth until smooth. Stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Spoon sauce over chicken.
