Steps:
- 1. Place the chopped onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the chicken thighs on top.
- 2. Mix together the garlic, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, broth, salt, and pepper in a bowl then pour over the chicken. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours.
- 3. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, pull the chicken from the bones into bite size pieces. Discard the bones and return the chicken to the slow cooker.
- 4. Stir the orzo into the slow cooker and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until orzo is cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste.
