A fun authentic Hawaiian drink that tastes REALLY good. As you pour in the second mixture, the first will slowly creep up the sides of the glass like lava.

Ingredients

½ cup strawberries
1 fluid ounce light rum
1 fluid ounce coconut rum
1 banana
2 fluid ounces pineapple juice
2 fluid ounces cream of coconut

Steps:

Place strawberries, light rum, and dark rum into a blender. Puree until smooth and pour into a tall glass. Rinse out blender, then puree banana, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut until smooth. Slowly pour the banana mixture into the strawberry mixture and watch the lava rise!

There are numerous variations for making a Lava Flow. This biggest difference is that some recipes use 1 oz. of light rum and 1 oz. of Malibu® coconut rum. When Malibu® coconut rum is unavilable you can use 1 1/2 oz. of light rum and 1/2 oz. of coconut cream.

Steps:

INGREDIENTS •1 1/2 oz. light rum •2 1/2 oz. coconut cream •2 oz. fresh strawberries •1 small banana •2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
PREPARATION Blend the rum, 1/2 oz. of coconut cream and the strawberries in a blender to form a smooth paste. Pour this mixture into a tall (Collins or Hurricane) glass. Rinse the blender. Blend the banana, the rest of the coconut cream, and the pineapple juice in blender with crushed ice until smooth. Pour this mixture into the glass with the rums very slowly and watch as the strawberry mixture oozes its way to the top along the sides of the glass creating the flowing lava effect. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and paper umbrella.

This sounds like a girlie drink but guys love it too! The strawberry mix in the glass creeps up the sides of the glass and looks like flowing lava.
