CRACK-TASTIC CRACKERS | JUST A PINCH RECIPES
So, I had some of these crack-tastic crackers in Texas recently and I had to try and re-create them. I don’t like to joke about drugs, especially crack, but really, these are so addicting. So, just say NO…if you must. You won’t eat just one, I can guarantee you that. So, maybe you should say no. It’s up to you, I’m not your mother. You will be hooked. These are not your every day cracker. They are for a special occasion. Like a Tuesday.

Steps:
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl for a good long while (5-10 minutes), to really get the crackers coated. Eat a few if you want.
- Lay them out on a cookie sheet and drizzle the yummy, ranchy, peppery oil that’s in the bottom of the bowl, over the top of the crackers. Bake at 250 degrees for 15-20 minutes, stirring them around about halfway through.
- Let them cool and store in a big ol’ baggie. Or a few little baggies. That’s it! So very easy and a great snack for a game or party. Or a Tuesday. ENJOY!!

This version of slime (or Gak) is made of glue and Borax.

Steps:
- In one bowl mix 1 oz. glue (about 1/4 of the glue bottle) and 1/4 cup water. If you want colored slime, add food coloring to the glue and water mixture. Lift some of the solution out of the container with the stir stick and note what happens.
- Add 1/4 cup of Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) Solution to the glue and water mixture and stir slowly. The slime will begin to form immediately. Lift some of the solution with the stir stick and observe how the consistency has changed from Step 1.
- Stir as much as you can, then dig in and knead it with your hands until it gets less sticky. This is a messy experience but is necessary because it allows the two compounds to bond completely. Don't worry about any leftover water in the bowl; just pour it out.
- When not in use, store the slime in a plastic bag in the fridge to keep it from growing mold.

- Heat the oil in a large pan with a tight-fitting lid. Add the onion and gently cook until softened. Stir in the spices and herbs and cook for 1 minute. Add the rice and stir until coated. Add 600ml boiling water and bring to the boil. Cover, then simmer on the lowest setting for 12-15 minutes, until tender. Let the steam dry off, then fluff up with a fork.
