Hot Chocolate
4 cups Land O Lakes® Half & Half
8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped Cream
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Garnish
Chopped peppermint candies, if desired

Steps:

Combine half & half, white chocolate, peppermint extract and vanilla in medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until chocolate is melted and mixture is heated through.
Place whipping cream into bowl; beat at high speed until thickened. Add powdered sugar; continue beating until soft peaks form.
Pour hot chocolate into mugs; top with whipped cream and peppermint candies, if desired.

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/8 teaspoon salt
5 1/2 cups milk
2 cups (1 pint) Land O Lakes® Half & Half
2 teaspoons vanilla
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream whipped, if desired

Steps:

Melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly, in saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar, water and salt.
Increase heat to medium. Cook, whisking constantly, until mixture comes to a full boil. Continue cooking 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add milk and half & half; cook until heated through. (Do not boil.) Add vanilla.
Remove from heat; beat with whisk until frothy.
Pour into mugs. Serve with whipped cream.
