1 (16.5 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
4 eggs
½ cup coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua®)
½ cup vegetable oil
1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 tablespoons grated orange zest
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (12 ounce) package mini chocolate chips
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a fluted tube pan (such as Bundt®) with cooking spray; dust with flour.
  • Combine cake mix, sour cream, eggs, coffee-flavored liqueur, oil, pudding mix, orange zest, and cinnamon in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until very smooth, about 4 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into the prepared tube pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Invert onto a plate; let cool completely, about 30 minutes. Dust with confectioners' sugar.

1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 to 5 tablespoons 2% milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Stir in the confectioners' sugar, cocoa, salt and enough milk to achieve a spreading consistency.

Spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate until set. , For filling, in a small heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar and milk; bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook and stir 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in marshmallow creme, peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. Add peanuts. Spread over first layer. Refrigerate until set. , For caramel layer, in a small heavy saucepan, combine caramels and cream; stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Cook and stir 4 minutes. Spread over filling. Refrigerate until set. , For icing, in another saucepan, combine chips and peanut butter; stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Pour over the caramel layer. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight., Remove from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cutting. Remove from pan and cut into 1-in.-wide strips, then into squares. Store in an airtight container.
