JUICE RECIPE FOR ENERGY BOOST - SPRINT KITCHEN



Juice Recipe For Energy Boost - Sprint Kitchen image

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 cups peeled and sliced watermelon
2 cups melon (preferably cantaloupe), peeled and diced
3 oranges (preferably Sicilian blood)
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
sliced watermelon

Steps:

  • Peel and dice the watermelon and melon.
  • Cut the oranges and lemon in half and juice them. Pour the squeezed juice into a jug.
  • Optionally, prepare the garnish: cut the watermelon slices into triangles. Wash and dry the mint leaves. Set aside.
  • Place the watermelon and melon cubes in the juicer, pressing them with a tamper until all the fruit is squeezed.
  • Add the pressed juice from the watermelon and melon to the jug, mix thoroughly with the orange and lemon juice.
  • Pour into glasses. Garnish with mint leaves and watermelon triangles if you like. You can also serve it with ice cubes or with additional watermelon pieces.

Make this simple celery juice your own by adding green chilli for a bit of heat, turmeric, or a little maple syrup to sweeten, if you like

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 head of celery (about 500g)
1 green apple (about 120g), peeled, quartered and cored
½-1 lemon, juiced
20g ginger, finely grated

Steps:

  • Separate the celery stalks and wash well. Trim the root ends and roughly chop, keeping one of the tender, young stems whole to serve.
  • Put the chopped celery, apple, half the lemon juice and ginger in a food processor or blender and pulse to finely chop. With the motor running, add 50-100ml cold water and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve into a jug, pressing down with the back of a spoon to extract all the juice. Cover and chill or serve straight away. Stir the juice well, add a squeeze more lemon if you like, and serve in glasses with a piece of the reserved celery stalk.
