TOP SECRET RECIPES | T.G.I. FRIDAY'S SESAME JACK STRIPS
Menu Description: “Golden brown, chicken breast strips coated with crispy Japanese panko breadcrumbs with the extra crunch of toasted sesame seeds and tossed in our famous Jack Daniel's sauce.” Although the original recipe is made from sliced chicken breasts, you may consider using the less chewy tenderloins in this kitchen copy. Packs of fresh chicken tenderloins are sold in most markets and you can also find bags of them in the freezer section. I’m a big fan of the more tender meat in the tenderloins, especially when it comes to chicken fingers. The breading is a simple combination of flour and panko (or Japanese bread crumbs). When the chicken fingers are done frying, gently toss them in the Jack Daniel’s glaze made from my recipe here, and you’ve got a great appetizer than can serve a half dozen finger food fanatics. WHISKEY-GLAZED CARROTS - THE PIONEER WOMAN
Oh, how I love Glazed Carrots—they’re so easy to make and yield such a delightful and impressive result.

Steps:
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over high heat. Add carrots in two batches, cooking for 60-90 seconds each batch. Remove from skillet.Pour in whiskey and allow to evaporate 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium, and add remaining butter. When butter melts, sprinkle brown sugar over the top. Stir together, then add carrots to skillet. Cover, and continue cooking for 5 minutes.Remove lid and add salt and pepper. Continue cooking until carrots are done and glaze is thick, about 5 more minutes.Pour onto a platter and serve immediately. Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Stick a serving spoon in the mix, and it’s time to serve ‘em up. And oh, what a wonderful time it is. I gobbled these up ‘til I embarrassed myself.And you will, too. I know it.

- Make the bread pudding: Preheat the oven to 325˚. Beat together the eggs, melted butter, vanilla and milk. Add the sugar and mix until dissolved. Arrange the bread cubes tightly in a 9-inch baking dish, keeping the crusts facing up around the edges and scattered within the dish. Pour the liquid over the bread. Sprinkle the pecans all over the top. Bake for 55 to 70 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown all over the top. Make the whiskey cream sauce: While the bread pudding is baking, bring the sugar, butter, heavy cream and Jack Daniels to a low bowl in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour a little of the cream sauce over the each serving of bread pudding.
