Flour 00 1.3 cups
Whole milk 2 cups
Butter to taste
Nutella to taste
Powdered sugar to taste

Steps:

  • To make Nutella crepes , begin by preparing the basic batter. Take a large, high-sided bowl and pour in the eggs 1 . Beat the eggs with a fork and add the milk 2 . Mix the ingredients well with a fork 3 .
  • Sift the flour into the bowl 4 and stir vigorously with the whisk to avoid the formation of lumps 5 . Continue stirring until the mixture is homogeneous, smooth and lump-free 6 .
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let cool in the fridge for at least 30 minutes 7 . After this time, mix the batter 8 , butter a crepe pan or non-stick 8-inch (20 cm) pan and place over the heat with a dollop of butter. When it is hot, pour a ladle of batter to cover almost the entire surface of the pan 8 : you can use a crepe batter spreader to spread it evenly, or tilt and turn the pan slightly; this must be done quite fast, as the batter will tend to cook quickly. Cook over medium-low heat for about a minute on one side. As soon as it is slightly golden and you can lift the edges of the crepes with a spatula, flip it onto the other side 9 .
  • Cook the other side for about 1 minute, waiting for it to turn a golden color 10 . When it is ready, put it on a serving dish or cutting board. Repeat this process until the batter is finished and 8 crepes with a diameter of approximately 8 inches (20 cm) are obtained; stack the crepes on top of each other when ready so they can be filled 11 . Then take a spoonful of Nutella and spread it on the surface of the crepes 12 .
  • Fold the edge of the crepe over to the other side 13 . Fold the Nutella crepes in half so as to obtain a fan 14 and repeat for the remaining crepes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve your Nutella crepes hot 15 !

When you organize a nice dinner party, as well as thinking about the main savoury dish we must of course also consider a suitable dessert with which to round off a lovely convivial evening, if possible served with special pudding wine. How about some wonderful Nutella crêpes, no less, a dessert loved by young and old, both for ease of preparation and for its unmistakable goodness? Crêpes are thin pancakes, made with a batter of eggs and milk, and cooked on a non-stick pan with a knob of butter. You can fill them in many ways, for example with savoury fillings of salty cheeses, meats and vegetables. In this recipe the crêpes are filled with the classic Nutella and sprinkled with a little icing sugar: don’t they look great?

nutella

Steps:

  • With a hand whisk, mix the eggs with the flour, sugar, milk and salt. Add the milk a little at a time, stirring until you have a smooth batter without lumps. Let it stand for about an hour, then heat a crêpe griddle or a pan with a diameter of 15 cm, and melt a knob of butter. Pour about a ladle, or a little less, of the batter into the crêpe griddle, making sure you tilt it so that the dough evenly covers the bottom. Cook for a few minutes, then flip the crêpe with a spatula and cook the other side until it is lightly browned. Top each crêpe with a spoonful of Nutella and fold it over sealing the Nutella inside. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Continue until all the batter is used up, remembering to grease the crêpe griddle with a little butter each time. Place the crêpes to dry separately on a work surface if you prefer them cool and drier or, alternatively, on a heated plate if you want them to stay warm and moist.

  • Préchauffer le four à 170°C. Beurrer et fariner un moule à gâteau demi-sphérique de 24 cm de diamètre. Battre les oeufs avec le sucre dans un bol avec batteur électrique jusqu'à obtenir un mélange clair et dense. Tamiser la farine, la levure et le cacao en poudre sur le mélange et les incorporer délicatement avec une cuillère en bois. Incorporer délicatement le beurre fondu et le lait. Verser dans le moule et faire cuire au four pendant environ 30 minutes. Sortir le gâteau du four et le laisser refroidir pendant 5 minutes dans le moule, puis le placer sur une grille à pâtisserie et le laisser refroidir complètement. Couper ensuite le gâteau horizontalement pour obtenir 3 couches. Percer chaque couche avec un cure-dent ou une fourchette et les mouiller avec le café. Mélanger le mascarpone et le Nutella avec un batteur électrique jusqu'à obtenir une consistance lisse et crémeuse. Pour assembler le gâteau, alterner des couches de gâteau avec des couches épaisses de crème au Nutella. Enfin, répartir uniformément la crème sur toute la surface du gâteau et décorer avec des copeaux de chocolat noir.
