1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon minced garlic clove
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Grind together and put 1 tablespoon of mixture on plate.
  • Pour extra virgin olive oil over and mix together with mixture.
  • Dip warm french bread in the mixture.

(8-oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened

1 c.

ricotta

1/3 c.

plus 2 tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan, divided

1 tbsp.

Italian seasoning 

1/2 tsp.

crushed red pepper flakes 

Kosher salt 

3/4 c.

pizza sauce 

1 c.

mini pepperoni

(16-oz.) cans refrigerated biscuits (such as Pillsbury Grands)

1/4 c.

extra-virgin olive oil

3

cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp.

freshly chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups mozzarella, cream cheese, ricotta, ⅓ cup Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt. Transfer mixture to a 9"-x-13" baking dish then spread pizza sauce on top. Top with remaining 1 cup mozzarella and pepperoni. Halve biscuits and roll into balls, then place on top of dip.

DH and I buy at least one loaf a week of ciabatta and eat it with olive oil. I finally decided to see it I could make a better bread than the brands we've tried from the store. We agreed that this is the best bread we've EVER had! The first loaf was gobbled before the second one came out of the oven! :) Can't wait to make it again!! Note: The dough will be VERY sticky - do not add more flour. The bread itself is not tall and fluffy. It has a wonderfully crisp, tender crust. It would be perfect for an Italian sandwich, if cut horizontally, of mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and s&p.
