Chikoo 340 Gram (, finely chopped for 1/2 cup and rest pureed with milk)
Milk 1/4 Cup ((4 tbs))
Ground cardamom 1/2 Teaspoon
Pistachios 1 Cup ((16 tbs), finely chopped or coarsely ground)
Kesar 1/4 Teaspoon (, ground)
Hot milk 3 Tablespoon
Mango puree 3/4 Cup ((12 tbs))
Finely chopped mango 1/2 Cup ((8 tbs))
Broken cashew nuts 1/2 Cup ((8 tbs))
Raisins 1/4 Cup ((4 tbs))
Half and half/Thick milk 1/4 Cup ((4 tbs))
Ground cardamom 1/4 Teaspoon
Chopped mint 1/2 Cup ((8 tbs))
Mini chocolate chip 3/4 Cup ((12 tbs))
Green food color 3 ((if desired))

This is a simple but delicious recipe for Kulfi (Indian Ice Cream) that I got from my sister-in-law. I have made this several times, and it always gets rave reviews - even the kids love it! For extra flavor, you could add a few drops of rose water or ground pistachios.

Yield 1 9x13 inch baking dish

Number Of Ingredients 5

1?¼ cups evaporated milk
1?¼ cups sweetened condensed milk
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
4 slices white bread, torn into pieces
½ teaspoon ground cardamom

Steps:

  • Combine evaporated milk, condensed milk and whipped topping in a blender and blend in pieces of bread until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish or two plastic ice cube trays, sprinkle with cardamom and freeze for 8 hours or overnight.
