I'm publishing this recipe because I'm sure that there are other families who have members, who don't know how or have forgotten how to make ice when the ice tray is empty.

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 6 hours

Steps:
- Empty the ice cubes that are left in the trays (if there are any left) into the bin.
- Take the trays over to the sink and fill them with cold water. (Hot water will freeze faster and more clear).
- Place the water filled ice trays back in the freezer.
- Replace the ice bin if you had to remove it.
- Shut the door to the freezer.
- Be sure to leave for around 4-6 hours at least to make sure it is frozen.
- If you want to experiment, you can freeze things like fruit infused waters or juices.

Such an easy way to save money by not buying 'store bought' ice cubes, and allowing us to have our own 'free range' ice cubes, straight from our favorite faucets. July 6th, 2011. July 2018 recipe update. Always remember to use clean ice cube trays. Finding dark things in your ice cubes is quite disturbing. Wash your hands with soap and water before handling individual ice cubes.

Steps:
- Prep Time - less than a minute Total time - 1.5 hours to 4 hours depending on freezer.
- Remove ice cube trays from freezer Empty any ice cubes in trays to ice cube bin or bowl in freezer.
- Take empty trays to favorite water faucet, and fill to top with fresh cold water.
- Return ice trays to freezer, making certain to place them on flat surface inside. Close freezer door and wait 1.5 hours up to 4 hours depending on freezer.
- repeat as necessary.
