This is one hefty, hearty pizza! We LOVED this dish - men, women and children alike. We did add a smidge more sauce and cheese than is called for in the recipe. You know, just to make it EXTRA decadent!

25 slice(s) pepperoni
1 teaspoon(s) oregano, dried
1 teaspoon(s) basil, dried
4 slice(s) hard salami, sliced
4 slice(s) capicola, deli sliced
4 slice(s) prosciutto
1 cup(s) cooked hamburger
1 - loaf of crusty Italian bread
2 clove(s) garlic
2 pinch(es) red pepper flakes
1/4 cup(s) spaghetti sauce (I use Prego traditional)
1/4 cup(s) mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 slice(s) fresh mozzarella, diced up in cubes
1/4 cup(s) diced green peppers
- olive oil, drizzled
- salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Slice all meats (except for hamburger) into slivers and put into a frying pan and cook on medium to high heat cook until all meat is on the crispy side.
  • Brown ground beef with salt and pepper, and dice up green peppers.
  • Cut 4 slices of fresh mozzarella then cube up each slice and set aside.
  • Grate or finely chop the 2 garlic cloves.
  • Get a large sheet pan out, drizzle the pan with olive oil, and salt and pepper.
  • Cut the whole loaf of crusty Italian bread into half, put the cut side (where the inside of the loaf is exposed) down and rub the bread on the pan where the bread will absorb the olive oil and salt and pepper.
  • Sauce both pieces of the bread, use just a small pinch of red pepper flakes for each piece, and sprinkle on the grated or finely chopped garlic, and then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese to cover the sauce.
  • Pile on all the meat and green peppers then add the cubed fresh mozzarella and sprinkle the dried oregano, and dried basil on top.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and bake for 15 minutes.

These pizzas are very family friendly. I use the small tortillas for the kids to make their very own individual pizzas, and large ones for me and my hubby to come up with our own creative masterpieces.My favorite is with sundried tomatoes, marinated artichoke, black olives and smoked provolone cheese.:-)Enjoy!!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (10 inch) bag flour tortillas or 1 (6 inch) bag flour tortillas
1 (8 ounce) bag shredded mozzarella cheese or 1 (8 ounce) bag other type of shredded cheese
1 (15 ounce) can pizza sauce
onions or sliced cherry tomatoes, etc
nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Spray bottom of first tortilla with non-stick cooking spray.
  • This will help tortilla to crisp on bottom.
  • Lay sprayed side down on cookie sheet.
  • Sprinkle a small amount of cheese on top of tortilla, just enough to help tortillas stick when cooking.
  • Top with another tortilla,sprinkle with cheese,top with tortilla.
  • Layer as many as you wish, I generally only use 3 to 4.
  • Top last tortilla with pizza sauce and toppings of your liking.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cut with pizza wheel into wedges.
  • Enjoy!
