2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-3 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups half & half (milk works fine, too)

Steps:

  • In a skillet on medium-high heat, heat oil.
  • Add the garlic and heat for about 3 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add the flour (start with 2 tablespoons), oregano, pepper, and salt. Whisk well.
  • Add the half & half all at once, whisking constantly. Cook and stir until bubbly and until thickened (usually about 3 minutes)

2 tbsps (28 g) butter
1 tbsp minced garlic (about 4 cloves)
2 tbsps (1 g) cornstarch
1 cup (250 ml) half and half
1/2 cup (29 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsps Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp finely ground sea salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/4 tsp onion powder

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the garlic and heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Whisk in cornstarch a little at a time so you don't get any lumps.)
  • Pour in half-and-half and whisk until combined. Reduce heat to low and simmer; stirring often, for 3-5 minutes or until sauce is thickened to your liking. (Cook a few more minutes if your sauce is too thin. If your sauce is too thick, add a bit more half-and-half.)
  • Turn off heat and add Parmesan cheese. Whisk until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, sea salt, black pepper, oregano and onion powder.
  • Spread on your pizza crust immediately. If you do not plan to use the sauce right away, allow it to cool before placing in an airtight container into the refrigerator.

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles; drain. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon and seasonings. Cover and cook over medium-low heat 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. , Meanwhile, melt butter in a large saucepan; stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in half the cheese; set aside. , Pour half the meat sauce into an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. Layer with half the lasagna noodles and remaining meat sauce. Top with remaining noodles. Pour white sauce over noodles. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. , Cover and bake at 400° until bubbly and noodles are tender, 40 minutes. If desired, uncover and broil 5-6 inches from heat until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.   • Preheat oven to 500°. Brush two large baking sheets with vegetable oil and sprinkle each with a layer of cornmeal.  In a small sauce pan over medium-low heat, heat olive oil. Reserve oil, and set both aside.  In a small bowl, mix together ricotta, salt, pepper, and half the herbs.  On a lightly floured surface, shape each half of pizza dough into a round ball, then press down the center of each to create a 1/2" crust. With the dough resting on the back of your hands and your knuckles, gently stretch dough out with the help of gravity by moving your hands inch by inch along the crust. Transfer to prepared baking sheets.  Brush each pizza dough all over with reserved garlic oil. Sprinkle each pie with 1 cup mozzarella and 2 tablespoons pecorino, then dollop 3/4 cup of ricotta mixture on each pizza.  Bake pizzas until crust is golden and cheese is melty, 15 to 17 minutes.  Garnish with remaining herbs, reserved garlic chips, and red pepper flakes before slicing and serving.
