SIMPLE OVEN-BAKED PORK CHOPS & RICE RECIPE - FOOD.COM
This is DH's recipe. It is simple comfort food and is very versatile. You can use chicken quarters in place of chops or chicken broth in place of water. Feel free to experiment with different herbs. We never make this the same way twice. A side note: I would recommend using a bone in, fattier cut of pork and not loin chops in this recipe.

Steps:
- Stir together soup, water, rice and 1/4 teaspoons pepper in a 3 quart casserole.
- Add onions.
- Salt and pepper chops and place on top of rice.
- Cover and bake at 350* for 1 1/4 hours or until meat is done and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375. Combine the dry ingredients.
- Spray with non-stick spray a foil-lined cookie sheet with sides. Hand rub the spices on both sides of each steak (use more rub if needed).
- Place steaks on the sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Turn steaks over and cook another 20 minutes.
- Remove any excess grease with a turkey baster, if desired.
- Brush meat with bbq sauce. Then turn the meat over and brush the other side.
- Place the tray back in the oven and bake steaks for another 20-25 minutes or until tender. Brush with more sauce and serve.

- Preheat oven to 375°. Season pork chops generously with salt and pepper. In a small bowl mix together butter, rosemary, and garlic. Set aside. In an oven safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil then add pork chops. Sear until golden, 4 minutes, flip and cook 4 minutes more. Brush pork chops generously with garlic butter. Place skillet in oven and cook until cooked through (145° for medium), 10-12 minutes. Serve with more garlic butter.
