Goji berries and hibiscus flowers are steeped in boiling water with agave and cinnamon sticks. This flavorful tea is refreshing and can be enjoyed hot, but we suggest drinking it ice-cold.

8 cups water
¼ cup dried goji berries
¼ cup hibiscus flowers
3 tablespoons agave nectar or honey
2 cinnamon sticks
Ice cubes
1 orange, cut into 8 wedges
1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, bring the water to boiling; remove from heat. Add goji berries, hibiscus flowers, agave nectar and cinnamon sticks. Let steep for 25 minutes. Whisk for 30 seconds; strain into ice-filled glasses. Add an orange wedge and a lemon wedge to each glass; squeeze juice from wedges into strained mixture. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

3-4 dried chrysanthemum tea flower
1 teaspoon goji berry
rock sugar or sweetener
Or you can use honey with lemon as sweetener
1 +1/2 cup of hot water above 80 degree C
Peppermint for decorating (optional)

Steps:

  • Place the chrysanthemum flower and goji berry in a glass cup. Pour around 1/2 cup of hot water in and waggle slightly for 5 seconds and then pour the liquid out (for cleaning purpose).
  • Re-pour around 1 cup of hot water and set aside for 3-5 minutes until done.
  • This time can be infused three times. Each time, leave around 1/3 of the tea liquid and add new hot water.
