How to Make Chantilly Cream {Creme Chantilly} - CakeWhiz image

Quick and easy chantilly cream recipe (Creme Chantille), homemade with 3 simple ingredients in 10 minutes. Creamy, fluffy and perfect dessert topping! Also known as sweetened whipped cream.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup Heavy cream (Cold)
2 tbsp Powdered sugar (Sifted)
1 tsp Vanilla extract (Preferably clear extract)

Steps:

  • Chill all of your mixing bowl and beaters/attachments in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  • In a chilled mixing bowl, add heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and mix with a stand mixer (with the whip attachment) or hand-held electric mixer until soft peaks form. This takes about 5 minutes.
  • Don't over-mix to the point when your whipped cream starts to curdle and begins to turn into butter.
  • Serve immediately on top of your desserts. Enjoy!

This is a sweeter version of whipped cream. It is smooth and satiny. My family loves it on pancakes, chocolate mousse, and just about anything that needs a sweet touch. Enjoy, from my family to yours.

Yield 1 1/2 to 2 cups cream

Number Of Ingredients 4

½ vanilla bean
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Split vanilla bean lengthwise with the tip of a sharp knife. Holding the pod open, scrape seeds from each half using the flat side of the knife. Transfer seeds to a large bowl; discard pod.
  • Pour heavy cream over vanilla seeds. Add sugar and vanilla extract. Whip with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, 3 to 5 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until serving.

Top with remaining cake layer, cut side down. Reserve 1/2 cup frosting. Spread remaining frosting over top and sides of cake. Spoon reserved 1/2 cup frosting into a piping bag fitted with  an open star tip, and decorate top of cake. Garnish with fresh mint and additional fresh berries. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
