1 ball refrigerated pizza dough (store bought or homemade (see recipe below))
1 cup pizza sauce or jarred pizza/pasta sauce
Your desired toppings (see below for ideas)
Cheese: Mozzarella, Mexican cheese, Asiago, Parmesan, Romano, bleu cheese, feta, provolone
Meat: Chicken, Italian sausage, bacon, ham, beef, chorizo, pepperoni, prosciutto, shrimp
Vegetables: Tomatoes, artichokes, roasted red peppers, onions, green peppers, jalapenos, spinach, cherry tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, banana peppers, squash, sweet corn, peas, avocado
Other: Pineapple chunks, black beans, fresh basil, garlic, sprouts, capers
1 1/4 oz. envelope yeast
1 1/3 cups warm water
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
Chopped dried herbs (such as basil, oregano or rosemary, optional)

This recipe yields a crust that is soft and doughy on the inside and slightly crusty on the outside. Cover it with your favorite sauce and topping to make a delicious pizza.

Yield 1 giant pizza crust

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
½ teaspoon brown sugar
1 ½ cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and brown sugar in the water, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Stir the salt and oil into the yeast solution. Mix in 2 1/2 cups of the flour.
  • Turn dough out onto a clean, well floured surface, and knead in more flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Place the dough into a well oiled bowl, and cover with a cloth. Let the dough rise until double; this should take about 1 hour. Punch down the dough, and form a tight ball. Allow the dough to relax for a minute before rolling out. Use for your favorite pizza recipe.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). If you are baking the dough on a pizza stone, you may place your toppings on the dough, and bake immediately. If you are baking your pizza in a pan, lightly oil the pan, and let the dough rise for 15 or 20 minutes before topping and baking it.
  • Bake pizza in preheated oven, until the cheese and crust are golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.

PIZZA HUT PAN PIZZA COPYCAT RECIPE | TOP SECRET RECIPES
The secret to perfect pan pizza is pressing the dough into a well-oiled pan (Pizza Hut uses soybean oil), then the pan is covered and the dough rises in a heated cabinet for 45 to 60 minutes. When the dough is topped, the edge is sprayed with a butter-flavored “food release” and the pie is baked at 500 degrees F until perfectly browned on top. You can use a 9-inch, 12-inch, or 15-inch deep dish pizza pan or cake pan for this recipe, and you’ll want to preheat your oven with a pizza stone in it to simulate the type of oven used at the chain. The hot ceramic surface of the pizza stone will cause the oil in the pan to cook the bottom of the dough so that it’s brown and crispy like an authentic pan pizza crust should be. I tried making the dough with cake flour, all-purpose flour, superfine “00” flour, bread flour and many combinations of these different flours which all contain varying amounts of gluten. I even tried rising the dough slowly in the refrigerator for various lengths of time as long as up to four days. But after a month of testing and about 30 pan pizzas later, I found the best dough to be straight bread flour, and to let the dough rise at room temperature.   • Preheat oven to 375°. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles and place on a greased 14-in. round pizza pan with points toward the center. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of pan to form a crust; seal seams. Bake until golden brown, 11-13 minutes., Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, onion and green pepper until sausage is no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain. Prepare gravy according to package directions. Stir into sausage mixture; set aside., In a small bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat.
