Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 0S

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 4

1

standing rib roast (about 1/2 pound per person)

1 tbsp.

kosher salt

2 tsp.

black pepper

1

bunch fresh rosemary

Steps:

  • Remove rib roast from packaging and place in a roasting pan. Let come to room temperature about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 450º. Generously cover all sides of rib roast with salt and pepper. Place roast in a roasting pan fat-side up. Arrange half the rosemary in the bottom of the pan around the roast. Roast 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 350º and cook 1 hour 30 minutes more for medium rare. (Plan on about 15 minutes per pound.) Remove roast from oven, cover with foil, and let rest 20 minutes. To serve, slice along ribs to remove them, then separate each rib and put them aside. Slice the roast crossways against the grain. Serve on a platter with the ribs and remaining half fresh rosemary.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE PRIME RIB RECIPE (COPYCAT) - RECIPES.NET

Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib Recipe (Copycat) - Recipes.net image

This copycat Texas Roadhouse prime rib recipe is perfect for meat lovers. You get flavorful, succulent meat with just minimal ingredients.

Provided by Clifford

Total Time 2 hours 45 minutes

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 2 hours 30 minutes

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 whole, uncut, (about 12 oz. per person) ribeye
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp sugar
½ cup kosher salt
¼ cup (chopped) garlic
¼ cup liquid smoke
¼ cup soy sauce

Steps:

  • The first step is to make the marinade. Prepare this two days in advance. To make, mix all ingredients for marinade.
  • Mix well until combined and refrigerate overnight. This allows enough time to integrate all those wonderful flavors together.
  • The second step is to marinade the ribeye. Place the prime rib on a rack in a large pan. Pour half the marinade over the top side and rub it all over.
  • Next, flip the meat over, pour the rest of the marinade, and rub all over. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Bake the meat for 30 minutes just until the outside of the meat is brown and seared.
  • Then, lower the heat to 250 degrees F. Continue baking for another two hours or until the meat thermometer says 120 degrees F (medium-rare).
  • Give meat at least an hour to rest before slicing. This will give the juices time to settle in the meat, resulting in an even juicier and tastier prime rib.
  • Slice and enjoy.
