Steps:
- Combine the flour and salt in the jar.
- Slowly add a tablespoon of vinegar at a time, stirring after each addition.
- Stop adding vinegar when the mixture becomes a thick paste.
- Dampen the cloth and apply the paste heavily to the copper, rubbing it as you go.
- Put the copper piece into a plastic bag or cover the entire surface with plastic wrap.
- Let the copper sit for 6-12 hours.
- Remove the plastic and rinse the copper well.
- Dry thoroughly.
- Repeat the process if needed.

- Pour water into a microwave-safe mug or bowl. Heat in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Line the bottom of a cereal bowl with aluminum foil. Pour hot water into the bowl. Add salt, baking soda, and dish detergent; do not stir. Place jewelry on top of foil. Let soak for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Rinse jewelry in cool water and dry well with a soft cloth.
