1 lb red potatoes
6 ounces fresh green beans
2 teaspoons garlic, crushed, divided
2 teaspoons dried rosemary, divided
1 tablespoon olive oil, divided

Steps:

  • Wash veggies.
  • Half, then quarter potatoes and snap ends off beans.
  • Combine potatoes 1tsp garlic, 1tsp rosemary and 1/2 tbsp olive oil in bowl. Toss to coat, mixing well.
  • Combine green beans and remainder of ingredients in a separate bowl. Toss to coat, mixing well.
  • Steam potatoes in electric steamer for 30 minutes.
  • When potatoes have 10 minutes left, add green beans, carefully mixing (so as not to break the potatoes).
  • Pierce a potato with a fork to test for doneness.

1 1/2-2 lbs fresh green beans (about 1 inch long)
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon olive oil
kosher salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Prepare green beans by snapping them or cutting them to approx 1 inch in length and rinsing them.
  • Over a pot of boiling water, steam beans for 15-20 minutes (until just tender with a little"bite" to them; Also, to steam I use a covered colander over a Dutch oven filled 1/4th full with water) Remove steamed beans and turn into a serving bowl.
  • Add all of the rest of the ingredients, seasoning to taste.
  • Enjoy!
