Delicious Hot Links Sausage Sandwich

Yield 6 servings
Steps:
1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp oil on medium-high heat.
2. Add sliced peppers and onions and saute until soft.
3. Season pepper and onions with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Place hot links in the skillet and brown for 2-3 minutes.
5. While hot links are browning, cut sandwich rolls in half and butter each side.
6. Place on a baking sheet with buttered sides up.
7. Broil in oven for 4-5 minutes until butter is melted and roll is toasted.
8. Add hot links and sliced peppers and onions to each roll.
HOT LINK SAUSAGE SANDWICH RECIPE -
I use to make a variation of this sandwich when I worked as a cook in high school. The original sandwich used polish sausage, I adapted the recipe to my taste and used hot links. Most people prefer the hot links.

Steps:
- Slice each sausage in four slices lengthwise.
- Slice each French roll to open without cutting all the way through.
- Top each roll with four slices of the sausage.
- Place a slice of mozzarella cheese over the sausage.
- Place the sandwich on a baking sheet.
- Place into a preheated 350 degree oven. cook sandwiches until the cheese and bread browns.
- Remove the sandwiches and top with thinly sliced pickles and tomatoes.
- Enjoy, these are addictive.
