2 pounds potatoes, peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Half & Half
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in 4-quart saucepan; add 1 teaspoon salt and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil; continue cooking over medium heat 15-20 minutes or until fork tender; drain.
  • Combine potatoes and all ingredients except green onions, salt and pepper. Add green onions, salt and pepper. Mash with potato masher until creamy and smooth.

2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
5 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a large saucepan or Dutch oven; cover with water. Add 1 teaspoon salt. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook for 20-30 minutes or until very tender., Drain potatoes well and place in a large bowl. Add 1/4 cup milk, butter, pepper and remaining salt. Beat on low speed until potatoes are light and fluffy, adding remaining milk if needed.
