Homemade Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer – Home in the Finger Lakes image

Homemade Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer is rich and creamy, with just a hint of sweetness.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
4 tbsp turbinado sugar

Steps:

  • Combine the sugar, creamer, and milk in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a simmer on the stove over medium-low heat, whisking constantly until it begins to steam slightly. Don’t bring it to a boil, because your creamer will curdle.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow the creamer to cool, then store in the refrigerator. Feel free to adjust the amounts for stronger or sweeter flavors.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree, or more to taste, see our homemade pumpkin puree recipe
1 to 3 tablespoons sugar, depending on how sweet you like it
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for serving
1/2 cup strong hot coffee
Whipped cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Add milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Heat until hot, but do not boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and the coffee.
  • Divide the mixture between two mugs. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
