Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, dry soup mix, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl; add about 1/2 the can of beef broth and continue mixing until beef mixture is thoroughly moistened. Divide mixture into six portions and shape into patties.
- Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat. Brown patties in the hot pot, 3 to 5 minutes per side. Spoon excess grease from the pot.
- Stir remaining beef broth with cream of mushroom soup and dry mustard in a bowl until smooth; pour over the browned patties.
- Bake in preheated oven until patties are no longer pink in the center, about 45 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

My mom would make this for us growing up. It was one of those easy dinners that we all loved to eat at the family table. Now we are still passing it down. My 17-month-old daughter LOVES this recipe. You can add other vegetables if you want (i.e. green onions, fennel, mushrooms, etc.). It can also be made with ground pork.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix ground beef, oats, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, water, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl until evenly combined; shape into 6 oval-shaped patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in hot skillet until browned completely, 2 minutes per side. Transfer browned patties to a baking dish.
- Top patties with onion rings. Stir mushroom soup and milk together in a bowl; pour over patties. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in preheated oven until firm, hot, and grey in the center, about 45 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

- Saute onions, and garlic in 1 tablespoon butter until translucent and set aside to cool. Mix beef with cooled onion mixture, eggs, bread crumbs, parsley, and mushrooms. Form into 4-ounce patties and saute in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until golden brown on both sides and set aside. In saucepan melt 2 ounces of butter and add flour and cook over low heat for 1 minute until wet sand consistency. Begin to add stock 1/3 at a time whisking and bringing to simmer each time making sure there are no lumps. Add mushrooms and simmer for 1/2 hour. Place patties in a roasting pan and pour gravy over patties and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Garnish with grilled onions and serve.

- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Thinly slice the onion into half-moon shapes by peeling it, then slicing it once from root to tip. Lay the flat side of the onion down, then slice thinly. Place onions on the bottom of a small sheet pan that has a lip around the edge. Don’t let the oil and meat juices drip off in the oven, it could start a fire: use a rimmed baking sheet! I used a quarter sheet pan. Next, dice the potatoes into 6 pieces each, and add to the sheet pan. Toss the onions and potatoes with the canola oil and a good pinch of salt and pepper. Next, in a small bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire, mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper.
