Burger Bowl | Recipes | HMR Program image

A burger without the bun! This loaded burger bowl will provide all of the flavors of your favorite dish without the added calories. Lean ground turkey topped with crispy veggies, pickles, and avocado, topped with a secret sauce. This recipe supports the Phase 2 diet plan. This recipe makes 1 serving at 379 calories.

Total Time 20 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 12

4oz ground turkey
dash of garlic powder
dash of salt and pepper
2 cups lettuce or spinach
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (sliced in half)
1/2 cup sweet potato (cubed and cooked)
1/4 cup red onion (chopped)
3 small pickle slices
1/4 avocado (sliced)
2 Tbs ketchup
1 Tbs yellow mustard
juice from 1/4 lemon

Steps:

  • 1. Place a pan over medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Add ground turkey to pan and cook until no longer pink, about 8-10 min, stirring frequently. Then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper and mix to combine. 
  • 2. Assemble bowl with lettuce or spinach, cherry tomatoes, cooked sweet potato, red onion, pickles, avocado, and then top with 4oz ground turkey.
  • 3. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mustard, and lemon juice. Then drizzle over burger bowl.

1 HMR Mushroom Risotto Entree
1 HMR 500 Chicken Soup
1 HMR Multigrain Hot Cereal
1 tsp Bell's Seasoning

Steps:

  • 1. Heat Mushroom Risotto Entree as directed on package. Make Multigrain Hot Cereal as directed on package.
  • 2. In a bowl, mix Risotto and Cereal together. Add one packet of dry HMR 500 Chicken Soup mix and Bell's Seasoning.
  • 3. Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and then spread mixture into pan.
  • 4. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
