- In a microwave, microwave the chocolate, 1/4 cup water and butter until the chocolate and butter are melted; stir until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes. , In a small heavy saucepan, whisk egg yolks, sugar and remaining water. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture reaches 160° or is thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Remove from the heat; whisk in chocolate mixture. , Set saucepan in ice and stir until cooled, 5-10 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into dessert dishes. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and shortening. Cut shortening into flour until the mixture is crumbly.
- Add in eggs and milk and mix until doughy. Break dough into two (save second for another pie), and chill for 20 minutes.
- Roll one of the balls of dough out to fit the bottom and sides of a 15x10 baking sheet.
- Mix all the ingredients for the filling. Pour into the pie shell.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and then reduce the heat to 350 and bake for another 25-30 minutes or until nicely golden.

- Combine the first four ingredients; press onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until crust just begins to brown. Cool. , In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt. Gradually whisk in cream; cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Gradually whisk half into egg yolks; return all to pan. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into crust; sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool 15 minutes. Gently stir in remaining berries; carefully spoon over filling. Chill 3 hours or until set. Store pie in the refrigerator.
