I got the idea for this recipe from our church cookbook. I played with the ingredients until it was just the way my family likes it. Ground beef and fries are always a hit! --Shelly Ryun, Malvern, Iowa

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups frozen french fries, thawed
1 can (15-1/4 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/2 cup shredded process cheese (Velveeta)

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Line a greased 9-in. square baking dish with french fries. Top with beef mixture, corn, soup and cheese. , Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

600 grams Ground beef
1 onion
1 tablespoon butter
salt
peppers
vegetable oil (for frying)
4 Lettuce
2 tomatoes
4 teaspoons Mayonnaise
4 teaspoons Ketchup
4 Hamburger bun (with sesame seeds)
1 package French fries (frozen, 4 servings)

Steps:

  • Peel onion and chop finely and fry in hot oil until translucent and mix with ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Shape into round patties, about 2 cm (approximately 3/4 inches) thick. Heat oil in a heavy skillet and fry hamburgers on both sides for about 3-4 minutes. Rinse lettuce and spin dry. Rinse tomatoes, drain and pat dry and cut into slices. Cut buns transversely and spread 1 teaspoon ketchup on bottom half and spread mayonnaise on top half. Place lettuce and hot hamburger on bottom half of bun and top with a tomato slice and top half of bun. 
  • Prepare french fries, according to package instructions, as desired. Serve hamburgers with fries.
