7 oz. (2 cups) uncooked wagon wheel pasta
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 pint (2 cups) half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
12 oz. (3 cups) shredded colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend
1 tablespoon margarine or butter, melted
1/3 cup Parmesan dry bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; return to saucepan.
  • Meanwhile, heat oven to 350°F. Spray 12x8-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Melt 1/4 cup margarine in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add flour; cook and stir until well blended. Gradually add half-and-half, cooking until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in seasoned salt and pepper.
  • Add cooked pasta; toss to coat. Spread 1/3 of pasta mixture evenly in sprayed baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese. Repeat layers.
  • In small bowl, combine topping ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle over top of casserole.
  • Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until casserole is bubbly and topping is golden brown.

1-1/2 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons 2% milk, divided
1 green onion, chopped
1/8 teaspoon salt, optional
Dash pepper
4 uncooked breakfast sausage links
1/4 cup biscuit/baking mix
1 large egg
Dash ground nutmeg
Dash paprika

Steps:

  • Place the hash browns in a 7-in. pie plate coated with cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons milk, onion, salt if desired and pepper; spread over potatoes. , Cut sausage links in half lengthwise; arrange over potatoes in a spoke-like fashion. , In a small bowl, whisk the biscuit mix, egg, nutmeg and remaining milk until smooth; pour between sausages. Sprinkle with paprika., Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and filling is bubbly.

  • Grease and line base and sides of two 20.5cm (8in) springform tins with baking parchment (if you only have one tin, see GH Tip). Preheat oven to 170°C (150°C fan) mark 3.

    Put flour, sugar, butter, vanilla and a pinch of salt in a food processor and pulse until mixture clumps together. Add a few drops of water and pulse again if the dough seems a little dry. Divide equally between the two lined tins, then press each down really well using the back of a spoon or a straight-sided glass to pack the mixture into a smooth, even layer. Prick dough all over with a fork. Bake for 25-30min or until the biscuits are lightly golden and feel sandy to the touch (they will feel soft but will firm up on cooling). Cool the biscuits completely in the tin. Remove one biscuit from tin and set aside.

    Spread jam in an even layer over the top of the cooled biscuit still in tin.

    Put marshmallows in a pan with 1tbsp cold water, then melt gently over a low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and liquid. Tip on to the jammy biscuit, spread to level and allow to set for 5-10min, or until marshmallow feels firmer but is still sticky. Flip remaining biscuit over and carefully insert into the tin on top of the marshmallow, trying not to crumple lining paper on sides. Press biscuit down gently to stick.

    Put 125g (4oz) of the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth (don’t let the bottom of the bowl come in contact with the water). Remove from heat and stir 1/4tsp oil in really well. Pour chocolate on top of the biscuit layer, spread to level, then chill for 2hr.
