250 grams All purpose flour
250 grams Powdered sugar
125 grams Cocoa powder
5 teaspoons Baking powder
6 medium sized Eggs separate the whites and yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1/4 cup fresh milk

Steps:

  • "1> pre-heat the oven to 180 C n butter the cake pan (when buttering the cake pan make sure you have a 1 kg cake pan and butter it and add a bit of flour evenly to the pan to avoid sticking 2> Mix flour, cocoa powder and Baking powder together and SIFT THREE TIMES (this will allow the Flour, cocoa powder and the Baking powder to mix well together) 3> separate the egg whites n beat it well until it becomes foamy (makes the cake soft) 4> beat the yolk too n keep it aside 5> Take a new bowl and add butter/Margarine n slowly beat it a bit to make it soft 6> then add the powdered sugar and beat it well (for about 3 or 4 mins) 7> Then add the egg yolks n beat well 8> now take your sifted flour mixture and add it little by little to the butter mixture n beat really well 9> And then add the egg whites n beat it or stir well 10> Now add the vanilla extract n beat it well Now add the cake mixture to the buttered cake pan n bake it for 40 minutes under 180 C "
