1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
32 ounces turkey breast tenderloins

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oil, sugar, garlic, ginger and mustard.
  • Pour 1/4 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag and add the turkey. Seal bag and turn to coat.
  • Refrigerate for up to 4 hours. Refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
  • Place turkey on foil on grill and cover. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 170 degrees F. Turn turkey occasionally and baste with reserved marinade.

1 cup lemon-lime soda
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 pounds turkey breast tenderloins

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Pour 1 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add turkey. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate 8 hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for serving., Drain and discard marinade from turkey. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 10-12 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 170°. Serve with reserved marinade.

However this lean poultry meat is easy to overcook, becoming dry and tough. The task in grilling it is to cook quickly over a medium to medium-high heat until temperature of doneness is reached. This wasn't the least dry when I cooked it that way, and for leftovers - perfectly moist as well! The Asian marinade recipe is equally tasty for turkey or pork tenderloins.

  • In pint jar measure soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oil, sugar, garlic, wine and ginger; shake well. Measure 1/3 cup of marinade and set aside; refrigerate remaining marinade and use some for basting and the rest for serving.
